Sound familiar?
You’ve probably been doing your homework.
You’ve watched YouTube videos.
Joined Facebook groups.
Saved café inspirations.
Asked suppliers for quotations.
Compared espresso machines.
Downloaded recipes.
Checked competitors’ prices.
Maybe you’ve even attended a coffee class or two.

Your phone probably has screenshots of machines, menus, interiors, recipes, and café concepts you like.
And yet…
The more you learn, the more questions seem to appear.
Which espresso machine should I actually buy?
How big should my menu be?
How much capital do I REALLY need?
How do I know if this recipe is good enough to sell?
How much should I price it?
What if my competitors are cheaper?
How many cups do I need to sell every day?
How long before I get my investment back?
What if I spend all this money… and the café doesn’t work?
Suddenly, opening a café doesn’t feel as simple as:
Find a locationBuy a machineCreate a menuOpen.
Because it’s not.
And maybe you’ve already opened
The lights are on. Customers are ordering. Your baristas are making drinks. Money is coming in.
From the outside, you have a café. But behind the counter, you might still be wondering:
“Tama ba talaga pricing namin?”
“Kumikita ba talaga kami?”
“Bakit may sales pero parang walang natitira?”
“Are we using too much ingredients?”
“Should we change our menu?”
“Okay ba talaga coffee namin?”
“How do I know if this business is actually healthy?”
And because you’re already operating, there’s barely any time to go back and figure it all out.
You’re solving today’s problems. Ordering supplies. Managing staff. Replying to customers. Checking inventory. Posting content. Paying bills.
Then doing it all again tomorrow.
So some of the decisions you made when you were starting never really got revisited.
Where you are right now
You don’t need to have a café to belong here.
Maybe yours exists only in your Notes app right now. Maybe you’ve already signed the lease. Maybe construction starts next month. Maybe you’re already serving your 100th customer today.
If you’re still planning…
Come before you’ve made the expensive decisions.
Learn what actually goes into running a coffee business. Touch the equipment. Make the drinks. See how recipes are developed. Understand the numbers. Ask the questions you’ve been Googling at 1AM.
You may leave even MORE certain that you want to open a café. Or you might realize your original plan needs to change. Both are wins.
It’s much cheaper to change an idea on paper than a café you’ve already built.
If you’re preparing to open…
You probably don’t need more inspiration. You need clarity.
Bring the café you’ve been planning into the classroom. Your concept. Your menu ideas. Your budget. Your pricing questions. Your equipment questions.
We’ll help you understand the fundamentals behind those decisions so you can move forward with more intention. Not because there’s one “correct” way to build a café.
But because you should understand why you’re making the choices you’re making.
If you already have a café…
Consider this your opportunity to go back to the foundations. Not because you’ve failed. Because now you have something aspiring owners don’t have yet: REAL DATA.
You know what customers actually order. You know your actual expenses. You know where operations become difficult. You know which recipes your team struggles with. You know where money seems to disappear.
Now you can revisit the fundamentals with actual experience behind you. Sometimes the next level of your business doesn’t require another branch. Another product. Another machine. Or another marketing campaign.
Sometimes you need to strengthen what you’re already standing on.
Here’s what makes it even harder
There is SO MUCH information available now.
You can find a recipe in 30 seconds.
Ask AI to create a menu.
Watch someone pull espresso on TikTok.
Download a costing template.
Ask a supplier which machine to buy.
Search “How to start a café” and spend the next six hours watching videos.

Information isn’t the problem anymore. Knowing what applies to YOUR café is.
It’s never just one thing
Because everything affects everything else.
- Your conceptyour location
- Your locationyour costs
- Your costsyour pricing
- Your pricingyour sales target
- Your menuyour equipment
- Your equipmentyour capital
- Your recipesyour margins
- Your operationsyour consistency
And all of those eventually affect whether your café can actually make money.
That’s the part that random tutorials rarely show you.
They teach you the pieces.
But nobody helps you connect them.
The cost of not connecting the dots
Expensive mistakes begin here.
You buy the machine…
then realize it doesn’t fit the volume you need.
You build the menu…
then discover some of your bestsellers barely make money.
You copy competitor pricing…
without realizing their costs are completely different from yours.
You spend heavily on interiors…
then discover you don’t have enough working capital left.
You create 30 drinks…
then struggle with inventory, waste, and consistency.
Or perhaps nothing is obviously “wrong.”
The café simply isn’t performing the way you imagined it would.
And that’s sometimes harder.
Because you don’t know what to fix.
- Marketing?
- Pricing?
- Product?
- Costs?
- Operations?
- Concept?
- Location?
The answer isn’t always “sell more.” Sometimes…
You need to go back to the fundamentals.
That’s why we created
Coffeepreneur Fundamentals
A Hands-On Coffee + Business Training by The Cafe Training Center
Not just a barista class.
Not just a business seminar.
And definitely not another day of sitting down, listening to slides, and going home with 47 pages of notes.
This training brings together the two sides of running a coffee business:
The coffee.
and
The business behind the coffee.
Because you shouldn’t have to choose between learning how to make a good product… and learning how to build a business that can actually sustain selling it.

What we’ll cover · Part one
From coffee…
You’ll get hands-on and understand the product you’re actually selling. You’ll learn:

Coffee Fundamentals
Understand the bean, roast, grind, water, ratio, and variables affecting your cup.
Manual Brewing
Understand the principles behind extraction instead of simply memorizing recipes.
Espresso Fundamentals
Get hands-on with the espresso machine and grinder and understand what goes into producing better espresso.
Milk & Café Drinks
Practice preparing café-style beverages and understand how drinks are constructed.
Recipe Development & Standardization
Learn how to build recipes that can be repeated consistently — not only by you, but eventually by your team.
What we’ll cover · Part two
…to business.
Then we’ll bring out the calculators. Because every drink you make eventually needs to answer another question: does this make sense as a business? We’ll work through:

Recipe Costing
Understand what it actually costs you to make your drinks.
Pricing & Profitability
Learn how costs, selling price, margins, and sales volume work together.
Startup Budget
Understand where your capital may actually need to go — and the expenses new owners often overlook.
Working Capital
Understand why opening the doors isn’t the finish line for your startup budget.
Break-Even & Profit Planning
Start answering an important question: “How much do I actually need to sell for this café to work?”
Coffee Business Models
Understand that “opening a café” can mean very different businesses — and why your model matters.
Concept & Differentiation
Clarify who you’re serving and why customers should choose you.
Basic Operations & Systems
Begin thinking beyond making the drink yourself toward building something other people can consistently operate.
This is a working class
The goal isn’t simply more information.
We don’t want you leaving saying “Ang dami kong natutunan.” …and then doing nothing differently on Monday.

You’ll brew.
You’ll make drinks.
You’ll compute.
You’ll work on worksheets.
You’ll challenge assumptions.
You’ll ask questions.
You’ll start applying the lessons to your own café or café idea.
The goal is better decisions.
By the end of Coffeepreneur Fundamentals…
A clearer understanding of how the pieces fit together.
We don’t promise that one class will magically build your café for you. But we do want you to leave with something incredibly valuable. You’ll better understand:
The coffee
what affects the product you’re serving.
The menu
how recipes, consistency, and costing connect.
The numbers
how your costs, prices, sales, and profit relate.
The model
what kind of coffee business you’re actually trying to build.
The gaps
what you still need to learn, validate, prepare, or fix.
The next move
what deserves your attention next.
Wherever you are, fundamentals still matter.
Because before you build… you need foundations.
And when something isn’t working… sometimes you need to return to them.
